Credit Transfer

Lateral Entry

“Credit transfer” refers to the process of granting admission to DDE, SVSU to a student from another accredited university in exchange for credits earned toward the completion of any degree program that is comparable. For courses that are regarded similar and for which the necessary credits would be deemed to have been earned, a student who has been admitted in this way is not required to write DDE tests in order to meet the DDE requirements and be awarded a degree.If a Learner has completed his/her 1st year or 2nd year from any other university and wishes to apply for 2nd year or 3rd year respectively, he/she can apply for the same on the prescribed form along with the prescribed fee to the Directorate of Distance Education

A candidate who has passed an unassembled test that includes a review of their work history, education, training, experience, and any other method used to assess their respective qualifications is referred to as “lateral entry.” In order to meet the DDE requirements for the award of a degree, a student who has been accepted in this way does not need to write the DDE examinations for courses that are judged similar and for which adequate lateral entrance would be deemed to have been gained.The eligibility criteria for above-mentioned courses will be done and according to the subject/paper matched as per the norms of the University, the Learner will be given admission & promoted to the appropriate year.
