The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE), Sikkim, is an open schooling board that intends to meet the diverse academic needs of students up to the pre-degree level, encompassing secondary/senior secondary, skill, and vocational education. BOSSE is Sikkim’s open schooling education board, founded under Act No. 14 of 2020 of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly, passed on September 21, 2020, in accordance with the Sikkim Act 2020, to promulgate and disseminate open schooling education at the state and national levels.

Courses
Board Of Open Schooling & Skill Education
Secondary
The Xth standard is equal to the Secondary Certificate. A minimum of 15 years old is required for entrance to the secondary program (prior to the exam). Other than the requirement to take at least one language, there are no restrictions on the subjects or combinations that may be chosen. Students can select their courses from the Subject List.
Senior Secondary
The Senior Secondary Program is the XIIth standard's equivalent. Admission to the BOSSE Senior Secondary Program is available to those who have completed their Secondary education with success. A copy of their secondary certificate that has been self-attested is required of all applicants. Other than the requirement to take at least one language, there are no restrictions on the subjects or combinations that may be chosen. Students can select their courses from the BOSSE Subject List.
Skill Education
Skill and Vocational Education are essential components of all educational endeavors. The National Education Policy 2020 places a high value on it so that our children can become economically independent and make a living with dignity. BOSSE, Sikkim. BOSSE is a model Open Schooling Board in India because of its flexible subject selection and examination policies, interesting and engaging curriculum in Hindi, English, and regional languages, ability to transfer credits up to four subjects, excellent academic and career-focused programs, and reasonably priced education.
Admission to BOSSE is simple, seamless, and secure; interested candidates must fill out the registration form, pay the required fee, and submit the necessary documentation to be admitted. This can be completed online or Call 9711356677.
Secondary-Anyone above the age of 15 can apply for admission to the Secondary Programme, even if he or she has not previously received any formal schooling. He/she must produce valid evidence of age as well as a certificate indicating that he/she can read and understand the study materials and write an exam.
Senior Secondary :-A person who has completed Class X can apply for admission to the Senior Secondary Programme.
Pass Criteria: To pass, one must receive 33% marks in the aggregate of 5 subjects, as well as a minimum of 33% marks (in theory and practice) in each topic. Theory also accounts for 20% of points in Internal Assessment or CA (Continuous Assessment).
