Validity
BOSSE certifications are recognized by the Ministry of Education (MoE) of the Government of India as being valid for higher education and government jobs.
Equivalency
The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) granted it equivalency status, and it is listed by the Council of Boards of School Education in India.
Competitive Exams
Students passing from the Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE) are entirely qualified to take national-level competitive exams etc.
Flexible Learning
Provides non-sequential topic options, a mix of academic and vocational subjects, and up to nine opportunities to pass examinations.
Credit Transfer
Transfer of Credit (TOC) allows students to transfer prior subjects from other recognised boards, with a maximum of four passing subjects.

FAQ
The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE) is a forward-thinking, state-recognized open school board in India. Established by the Government of Sikkim, it provides flexible, student-centered academic and vocational programs to assist various learners across the country in completing their education.
Candidates aged 15 and up may apply for secondary programs with proof of age and literacy. Senior secondary applicants must have completed class X.
BOSSE provides high-quality study materials that may be downloaded from their website and studied online. Printed materials are also available at a reasonable fee from the headquarters.
BOSSE credentials are recognized by numerous government entities and authorized by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), assuring their validity throughout India.
Students can change subjects after taking at least one exam for a charge of Rs. 500 per subject. They may also select up to two other subjects.
Results are available 45-60 working days following the tests. Certificates are mailed shortly afterward.
Verification requests should be provided via email to verification@bosse.ac.in or by postal mail, as specified on the website. There are no charges for local institutions.
