BOSSE SIKKIM
The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE), Sikkim, is an open schooling board that intends to meet the diverse academic needs of students up to pre-degree level, including secondary/senior secondary, skill, and vocational education. NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), Ministry of Education, Government of India, has also recognized BOSSE as an open schooling Board. Thus, the credentials of BOSSE are recognized at par with other Boards, including national and state level Boards of School Education.The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE) aspires to uplift and enhance open schooling education while also creating avenues to further studies across the nation. BOSSE’s purpose is to universalize education while establishing equity and justice in society through a flexible education system that combines academic and vocational programs. The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE) allows interested learners to select the following courses/programs via open and distance learning modes.
Secondary Programme
Secondary Certificates are equivalent to the Xth standard. Admission to the Secondary Programme requires a minimum age of 15 years.
Senior Secondary Programmes
Senior Secondary Programme is similar to the XIIth standard. Those who have successfully completed secondary are eligible for admission to BOSSE's Sr. Secondary Programme.
Skills and Vocational Education Programme
Skill and Vocational Education are essential components of all educational endeavors. The National Education Policy 2020 places a high value on it so that our children can become economically independent and make a living with dignity.
Courses
Secondary (10th)
Secondary certificates are equivalent to the Xth standard. Admission to the secondary program requires a minimum age of 15 years (before the exam). There are no restrictions on subject choices or combinations, with the exception that at least one language must be taken. Learners can select their subjects from the BOSSE List of Subjects

Senior Secondary (12th)
Students who have successfully completed secondary education are eligible for admission to BOSSE's Senior Secondary Program, which corresponds to the XIIth level. All applicants must submit a self-attested copy of their secondary certificate, and there are no subject choice restrictions.

BOSSE provides a wide range of skill-based vocational courses appropriate for industrial placement.
