Board for Open Schooling and Skill Education (Bosse Sikkim)
The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education, is an independent open schooling board formed by the Sikkim government. It was established under Act No. 14 of 2020, passed by the Sikkim Legislative Assembly, to enable flexible distance learning for secondary (Class 10), senior secondary (Class 12), and vocational skills education up to the pre-degree level.
Secondary (10th)
Secondary certificates are equivalent to the X standard. Admission to the secondary program requires a minimum age of 15 years (before the exam). There are no restrictions on subject choices or combinations, with the exception that at least one language must be taken. Learners can select their subjects from the BOSSE List of Subjects, as shown below:
माध्यमिक (कक्षा 10)
माध्यमिक प्रमाणपत्र कक्षा 10 के समकक्ष होते हैं। माध्यमिक कार्यक्रम में प्रवेश के लिए न्यूनतम आयु 15 वर्ष (परीक्षा से पहले) होनी चाहिए। विषयों के चयन या संयोजन पर कोई प्रतिबंध नहीं है, सिवाय इसके कि कम से कम एक भाषा का अध्ययन करना अनिवार्य है। छात्र नीचे दी गई BOSSE विषय सूची से अपने विषय चुन सकते हैं:
Senior Secondary
The Senior Secondary Programme is equivalent to the XII standard. Those who have successfully completed secondary are eligible for admission to BOSSE's Sr. Secondary Programme. All applicants must produce a self-attested copy of their secondary certificate. There are no restrictions on subject choices or combinations, with the exception that at least one language must be taken. Learners can select their subjects.
सीनियर सेकेंडरी (बारहवीं कक्षा)
सीनियर सेकेंडरी प्रोग्राम बारहवीं कक्षा के समकक्ष है। सेकेंडरी शिक्षा सफलतापूर्वक उत्तीर्ण कर चुके छात्र BOSSE के सीनियर सेकेंडरी प्रोग्राम में प्रवेश के पात्र हैं। सभी आवेदकों को अपने सेकेंडरी सर्टिफिकेट की स्व-सत्यापित प्रति प्रस्तुत करनी होगी। विषयों के चयन या संयोजन पर कोई प्रतिबंध नहीं है, सिवाय इसके कि कम से कम एक भाषा का अध्ययन करना अनिवार्य है। छात्र अपने विषय स्वयं चुन सकते हैं।

BOSSE, Sikkim, has also prioritized skill and vocational education, as evidenced by the board's name, which includes 'Skill Education' in addition to Open Schooling. Giving priority to skills makes education more inclusive.
